About Health Information Xperts (HIX)

HIX was founded by Kelly McLendon, RHIA, winner of the 2003 Visionary Award from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Kelly’s expertise spans the breadth of health information and electronic record systems. He has managed HIM operations, designed an industry leading (KLAS #1 ranked) electronic document management5 system for HIM, Registration and Patient Accounts. He is also a well known speaker and author with 30 years experience in record and information systems.

Over the last few years Kelly entered private consulting practice, forming Information Evolution Management (iem). iem’s success has spurred Kelly to create HIX in response to the Health Information profession’s need for a well designed, comprehensive resource network.
